WATER & SEWER

The Water Department is responsible for operating and maintaining the potable water treatment and the pumping and distribution facilities in the Town's operated water districts. The Sewer Department is responsible for operating and maintaining the sanitary sewer collection and pumping systems in the Town's operated sewer districts.

We take great care to ensure our water and sewer services meet all quality standards set by the state and federal governments. To that end, we make our annual water quality reports available to the public at the Town of LeRay office.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our office. Billing and payment services are handled through the office of the Town Clerk.

WATER & SEWER DISTRICTS

The Town of LeRay has four water districts and four sewer districts, each with its own territorial boundaries. Residents within these districts may be charged a benefit assessment tax, a user fee, or a combination of both to pay for any outstanding debt and general operating, administrative, and maintenance costs. This allows the Town to provide public water and public sewer services to the districts.

Drinking Water at Home

These districts include NYS Route 3 from the Town of Pamelia line to the bridge crossing the Black River near the Village of Black River. It also incorporates the southern portions of the hamlet of Calcium and area around intersection of NYS Routes 342 and 283 and Five Corners Road.
